It's My Birthday - 42

I can't believe I turned 42 today. I remember turning 21 yesterday. My how fast time doubles. Everyone has been so great to me today. I've had tons of phone calls and texts and the kids have all done so much for me. Jess brought me home starbucks this morning along with cakes and cards. Brooke put a page on my computer with pictures of all my kids. Mason made me some wonderful art projects. Alexia and Dalton washed the breakfast dishes for me. The kids all sang Happy Birthday to me and then we had cake. Alexia, knowing her dads tradition, decided to shove my face in the cake. I have to say, it was pretty funny.

I don't like having my picture taken but thought I would share this with you. That's icing all over my nose.
What a great day so far and it's only 12:45. Thank you all so much for making this such a memorable day.

Santa Time

I am so lucky to have such great children. Brett came home for the weekend and we had so much going on that he took the kids and got their pictures taken with Santa for me. Check them out.

Brooke was watching Jaylee and her brothers for a few hours so they tagged along and got their pictures taken too. What a fine looking group of kids.

Santa's Workshop

Today I ventured out to take the kids to see Santa at Bass Pro Shop. After arriving we found out that Santa is at the North Pole and would not be back til later tonight. We were a little disappointed but the kids still had lots of fun. We took our own pictures in his seat and by his workshop.
We found frosty hanging out so we took pictures with him...

They had lots of fun things for the kids to do. Coloring, shooting targets, driving race cars and big monster trucks. They had loads of fun.

We found the reindeer behind the workshop so we took some pictures with them:

We had a great time even if we were expecting to tell Santa what we wanted this year for Christmas. We left special notes for him just in case we miss him again.

FUNKY MAMA

What a great day we had. Today I took the kids to Blue Valley Baptist Church to see FunkyMama in concert. She was quite the character. She plays the guitar and sings and interacts with the children. They do all kinds of silly things. The kids absolutely loved it. Of course the one day that I needed pictures, I didn't have my camera. Way to go Gabby. So if you would like to see who she is you can look her up at funkymamamusic.com.

I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Time to spend with family and friends and just enjoy the holidays that are fast approaching. Ms. Gabby is closed thursday and friday.

Holiday Schedule

Call me crazy but I have decided to change my schedule to include holiday care from 5:30pm-9:30pm Monday thru Friday starting November 30th. This will give parents the chance to do some holiday shopping or just have a night out. I will feed the kids dinner and we will do some crafts or whatever fun thing we find for the night and if you bring their pajamas I will even have them ready for bed when you pick them up. The cost is just $20 per child. The only night I will not be doing childcare is Tuesday, December 8th.

Call and reserve your night out today. (913)268-7378

Halloween

So it's been quite a while since I've been on here. Time to tell you what we've been up to. We had quite a day on friday for halloween. The kids had so much fun and they wore me out. We made lots of crafts including decorating pumpkins and they had lots of snacks that I normally would make them take home with them. They had cupcakes and rice krispy treats and cookies and we went trick-or-treating to grandpas and they got lots of candy from him and tried to eat it all on the way home. Come nap time they were all wired and not sleeping at all. By the time 5:30 rolled around all I wanted to do was sit. We had a great day but I was completely worn out afterwards.
Aren't they all so adorable. With no school we had four older kids.

Lately we have been working on the ABC's and have about made it all the way thru as well as learning them in sign language. The kids are working really hard and doing a great job. Next we will start working on numbers and addresses again. They have learned the days of the week and we are moving right along.

A few weeks ago we went to a pumpkin patch. Check out the pictures:
Graydon was really getting into to milking the cow.

We went and watched Brookes homecoming parade and Sienna joined us for the day:
We have also been to Deanna Rose and Sienna joined us then as well:

We had a great surprise last week as Hope came back and spent the afternoon with us on Thursday. It has been quite some time since we have seen her and it was so nice to have her here. It happened to be the same day we were celebrating Easton's 3rd birthday and he was so excited. Hope was always his favorite friend to play with. He didn't forget that either as he pushed her on the swing the way he always did before. Here are the kids as they help Easton celebrate with cake and presents.

Last we worked on letters and the seasons of the year. We did a Fall leaf project and discussed why it is called fall. We continued to work on days of the week and abc's with sign language. Most of the little ones have the days down to a T.
This week we will continue letters K-N, shapes and tracing. Along with starting to work on what a clock looks like and the numbers.

Rainy Days

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed being together with family time. We took the kids to our friends houses and they got to ride their dirt bikes and four wheeler. They had lots of fun and it was very relaxing.
So we're off to another rainy week. Once again the rain keeps us from getting to go out and do much. But I will improvise and find things to keep the kids busy inside. We have lots of school work and crafts to do.
We started the week off with the letter Ii and going over the days of the week still and the weather. These little ones are so smart. They have almost conquered the days of the week. We've been reading lots of stories and singing songs.
Here are a couple of pictures of Alexia and Ella as they played Jesse James on the deck last week. They were having so much fun. And it was so cute listening to Alexia try to Ella who Jesse James was.

Now I have to brag about my older daughter. Brooke wore her cheer uniform to school for the first time on friday and she looked so beautiful. Look at this.

So I haven't quite figured out how to rotate the pictures.

Then there's all my kiddos at Bretts game last week. They were so excited to watch their big brother play an awesome game and win 50-13.

My schedule is so busy with four kids in activities. They keep me running every night of the week. But I just have to say that I absolutely love it and wouldn't have it any other way.
